The US Open has the Honey Deuce—vodka, raspberry, and the famous honeydew melon balls floating on ice. We set out to make our own riff, the Honey-Ficks, only to find out every store in town was completely out of honeydew. The irony was too good to pass up.
So instead, we went with cantaloupe. And honestly, we’re not mad about it.
The Honey-Ficks Recipe

Instead of green honeydew spheres floating in the glass, the Honey-Ficks comes crowned with bright orange cantaloupe balls perched on toothpicks, alongside a lemon slice. The result? The Honey-Ficks may not follow the Honey Deuce playbook exactly, but that’s what makes it fun. A little improvisation, a colorful garnish, and a flavor combination that still scores big.
